Salomon preschoolCzech/English bilingual educational center for preschool aged children.
Salomon preschool center are open for children from 3 to 7 years of age. We have children from many different nationalities meeting here. Multicultural education center like this one have become the most effective means of preventing and eliminating discriminative attitudes and behavior. Through exposure, our differences cease to be barriers to us, and become relational enrichments. Here at Salomon preschool we also welcome children with disabilities. We believe that this challenging environment naturally allows the children to progressively develop, and helps to prepare them for their later years at school. This integration also broadens the other children's social awareness. The children get to experience the needs of their handicapped peers, they learn to help them, and see the world through their friend's eyes. The space is given for them to have a common experience in the classroom. Children are taught to respect each other, tolerate, and understand that they have more in common than what separates them. Our goal is to teach kids the basics of spoken English through games. Playing is natural and entertaining for kids. This is why we like to present all our lessons and activities through this medium. Our team of qualified teachers consists of both English and Czech native speakers. Throughout our daily activities we try to foster a stimulating and family like environment, where all the kids can feel safe. In all of our Salomon preschool centers we encourage our kids to develop self-sufficiency and independence in their everyday tasks. We feel this helps to motivate them to desire, to have openness, and the courage to explore new things. We help kids develop their personal and positive characteristics; we also encourage and support creativity! We love to praise the kids, teaching them to understand their own value, as well as see their shortcomings, and how to grow from the experience and apologize. We teach them the basics of proper behavior based in Christian foundations, through leading them to honor others and respect nature. Over the years of running Salomon preschool we have gained the experience and know how to support not only linguistic, but the overall development and progress of a child. We incorporate any health related limitations of the children, based on information given by the child's parents. All of our staff is trained in providing First Aid. We accept children to join us throughout the year as well. Due to our hygienic regulations we can only accept fully potty trained children. Our focus
Monday-Friday 8:00-15:00 (attending only two or three days a week is also possible) Afternoon activities We offer a selection of afternoon activities for children aged 3-10, such as dancing, music, art, English conversation. Location One facility of Salomon preschool is located in a historic building in Francis Garden, beautiful park with brand new playground in the center of Prague, just steps from Wenceslas Square. Our second facility is located in Tyršův dům in Malá Strana, just next to Petřín and Kampa park. |
We were founded in September 2003, by moms of three year olds who wanted a bilingual Czech and English education for preschool children that could be affordable.
